Extremely honored to have witnessed the first State of the Nation Address where the President, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House and a first time Congressman of our family all hail from Mindanao.
I have heard so much about Digong while growing up in Cotabato but this was the only time that I heard him in person.
His was not the usual SONA full of formalities and pageantry. He didn’t have special guests from the dumps as props. His concern was genuine and his desire to act resonates in the numerous times he discarded his prepared speech and adlibbed his way to rally people with him in his fight to make this country great again.
I won’t pretend to be a political analyst so there won’t be any scrutiny of statements and promises made. I was just a mere spectator 🙂
