Eating clean is a conscious choice that you need to make every single meal.

While my husband and I try, sometimes the call of steak resonates much louder than our desire to be healthy.

While the vegetarian movement has been gaining ground, there isnt an abundant choice of dining choices.

We chanced upon Veggie Zen, one of the rare vegetarian restaurant just a few steps away from a Zen Monastery in San Juan.

Their menu is a hodge podge of the familiar and unfamilar. We were not too adventurous that day so we just tried what sounded right:

Veggie Zen fills the gap for when you want to have a healthier choice when you’re somewhere in San Juan. For it to be a food destination in itself, perhaps not quite.
